Isn't Janelle Monae fantastic?  Love her.  And I love everything about the video for Tightrope.  (Okay, I'm not so into the Rowling-esque asylum guards... but everything else.)  The moves, the music, the menswear.  Even the wonky stop-motion disappearing act.  So great.

These 1960's-advertising-inspired images accompanied an interesting New York Times piece about the style gap between men in their 20s/30s, who have eagerly adopted the dandyism of their grandfathers (or Don Draper), and those in their 40s/50s, for whom a perpetual casual Friday is the ideal.  Read David Colman's article here.
