The New York Times published an inspiring article about Dan Phillips and his construction company, Phoenix Commotion, which builds unique low-income housing out of reclaimed materials.
Something about the haphazardness of these homes reminds me of the imperfect beauty of a Gee's Bend quilt. I especially love the colors of these layered shingles and the herringbone look of the ceiling below.
